Farmingdale publishes no per-course flight fee and no hourly rate anywhere on its site; every one of its aviation pages, four admissions brochures, the catalog and the tuition charts were read on September 2, 2026. What it publishes is the billing: a flat Aero fee of $10,000 per semester, charged every semester a student is enrolled in the Professional Pilot program regardless of the account balance, from which one-on-one ground and flight instruction is drawn at an unpublished hourly rate. The figure here is that fee across the eight semesters of the degree, whose course sequence carries a flight course from freshman fall to senior spring. It is what the college bills, not what the flying costs: a student who uses the account up mid-semester deposits more, unused funds roll over each term and are refundable on graduation or withdrawal, and FAA knowledge-test fees are drawn from the same account. The admissions page and the brochures still quote the older $9,000 figure; the FAQ's $10,000 is the current one.
