Flight training at Three Wing Aviation Group

Rates are dry, so fuel is billed on top of every figure here. Three Wing also runs a $90/month flying club, and the site does not say whether these are member rates.

   What do you charge per hour for flight instruction, and is ground instruction billed at the same rate?Missing from their site

   This is the number that is missing from the site. Ground is often billed separately and at a different rate.

   Does the instructor rate change for the Instrument, Commercial, or CFI, or is it flat across everything?Missing from their site

   Plenty of schools charge more for advanced instruction. A flat rate quoted for the Private can climb later.

   Your published rates are dry. Roughly what does fuel add per hour on the trainer?

   The published figures leave fuel out, so they understate the real hourly cost until you add it.

   Do I have to join the flying club to rent while I'm training, or are the dues only for after I get my Private?

   The club is $90/month. If it is required during training that is roughly $1,100 a year on top of flying, and the site does not say either way.

   Is the Warrior at $135/hr available for primary training, or is it reserved for club members?

   It is the cheapest published tail and the only VFR-only one, which usually means it is the primary trainer. Worth confirming before you plan around that rate.

   Do you offer block rates or prepay discounts, and what is the refund policy if I stop partway?

   Block discounts are common and rarely published. The refund terms matter more than the discount.

   What do you charge for the written test, the checkride, and the examiner's fee?

   The DPE fee alone runs $800 to $1,200 in most of the country and is almost never in a quoted hourly rate.

   How many trainers and how many full-time instructors do you have right now?

   Availability decides your pace, and pace decides your total more than the hourly rate does.

Checked the fleet page, the flight-school page, and the instructors page on August 3, 2026. Every airplane is listed with its tail number, avionics, and dry rate. No instruction rate on any of the three.
