Instruction is $70/hr standard, up to $90/hr for advanced or type-specific instruction (for example a Cirrus CSIP, multi-engine dual, or initial CFI training). The estimate below prices the right instructor rate for each leg.
Rates are wet (fuel included). A temporary $0.90/gal fuel surcharge applied as of May 11, 2026, and is not included in this estimate. Every dual flight also includes 0.6 hr of ground instruction (pre/post-flight briefing) billed at the instruction rate, which this estimate does not add.
