Totals to reach your Private goal at this pace. Estimates use PilotBound's own completion-hours model, examiner-completion data where it exists and FAA minimums where it does not, applied to each school's published rates. They are PilotBound estimates, not the school's quote, and will differ from a school's own figures. How we estimate.

Centerline publishes ranges for whole certificates rather than hourly rates: $8,000 to $12,000 for the Private, $25,000 to $35,000 for the Commercial from zero experience, and $60,000 to $80,000 for every rating. A discovery flight starts at $140. None of those is an hourly figure, and a range is not a rate.

Every tail is published wet on the fleet page. Platinum posts no instructor rate anywhere on the site: its course cost sheets bill ground instruction at $55/hr, and the dual-versus-solo spread on those sheets works out to the same figure, but neither is Platinum quoting a price for flight instruction, so no instruction rate is recorded here. Those sheets also price a Diamond DA40 that does not appear on the fleet page, so confirm which airplanes are actually available. Platinum publishes the Seneca but does not advertise multi-engine training.
Estimates use the same method as every Utah school page: PilotBound's own completion-hours model times each school's published rates, plus the one-time fees most quotes leave out. They are ours, not the schools' quotes, and we are not affiliated with the schools. How these estimates work·Disclaimer & removal policy
