MATA prices every line of its fee schedule twice, and the figures here are the non-mission rates, which is what a student who is not a missionary trainee pays. Mission students pay $150/hr in the Cessna 172/177, $175 in the Cessna 172 Alaska, $200 in the Cessna 180, $215 in the Cessna U206, $50 in the simulator and $45/hr for instruction. Aircraft rates are wet. Non-mission students are taken on a space available basis. Every student keeps a refundable $200 deposit on account while training.

Arlington Flight Services in Arlington publishes the lowest trainer rental of the 2 Arlington schools listed here, $152 per hour for its Cessna 172P, a dry rate, so fuel is billed separately on top, checked August 17, 2026. The lowest hourly rate is not automatically the lowest total: instructor rates, fuel basis, and the hours you actually fly decide that, which is what the per-school estimates on this page hold constant.
How current are these Arlington flight school rates?
Every rate here is the school's own published figure, linked to its source and dated; the newest check in Arlington is September 14, 2026, and each card and school page shows the exact date its rates were read. The directory is re-checked on a monthly cycle, and one more school in Arlington is listed without an estimate because it does not publish a full rate card. A school can correct or remove its listing anytime.
Which Arlington airports have flight schools?
One field carries the listed schools: Arlington Municipal Airport (AWO) with 3. A school that does not state its field on the pages we read is counted in Arlington without one.

Estimates use the same method as every Washington school page: PilotBound's own completion-hours model times each school's published rates, plus the one-time fees most quotes leave out.
