Flight training at P&N Flight and Charter

   This is the number that is missing from the site. Ground is often billed separately and at a different rate.

   Does the instructor rate change for the Instrument, Commercial, or CFI, or is it flat across everything?Missing from their site

   Plenty of schools charge more for advanced instruction. A flat rate quoted for the Private can climb later.

   This is the number that is missing from the site, and it is the largest line on your bill.

   Is that rate wet or dry, meaning does it include fuel?Missing from their site

   A dry rate and a wet rate are not comparable. Dry rates can run $40 to $60 an hour lower for the same airplane.

   Nothing on this site could be read, so these figures may well be published and simply invisible to anything that is not a browser.

   P&N operates at Independence and at Marion, and the two are an hour apart.

   Block discounts are common and rarely published. The refund terms matter more than the discount.

   What do you charge for the written test, the checkride, and the examiner's fee?

   The DPE fee alone runs $800 to $1,200 in most of the country and is almost never in a quoted hourly rate.

   How many trainers and how many full-time instructors do you have right now?

   Availability decides your pace, and pace decides your total more than the hourly rate does.

What we checked

We could not read this site, which is a different thing from it publishing nothing. Every address on fly-iowa.com, including its training and fleet pages, returns the same short shell of navigation and a tagline, with the real content rendered in the browser afterwards. Thirty pages were crawled and every one was that shell. P&N describes itself as offering charter, advanced pilot training and aircraft leasing in eastern Iowa, and also runs a second base at Marion (C17, 319-377-0457). Its rates may well be published where only a browser can see them, so a phone call here is likelier to succeed than another crawl. Checked August 6, 2026.
