Flight training at George's Aviation Services
No aircraft rate or instructor rate. George's Aviation publishes no rates at all, so there is no total on this page. The airplane is the biggest line on a training bill. Instruction is the second biggest line on a training bill, after the airplane.

What to ask when you call
The marked ones are what George's Aviation's site never answers. The rest are what turns an hourly rate into a real bill.
What do you charge per hour for flight instruction, and is ground instruction billed at the same rate?Missing from their site
This is the number that is missing from the site. Ground is often billed separately and at a different rate.
Does the instructor rate change for the Instrument, Commercial, or CFI, or is it flat across everything?Missing from their site
Plenty of schools charge more for advanced instruction. A flat rate quoted for the Private can climb later.
What is the hourly rate on your cheapest trainer, and which airplane is that?Missing from their site
This is the number that is missing from the site, and it is the largest line on your bill.
Is that rate wet or dry, meaning does it include fuel?Missing from their site
A dry rate and a wet rate are not comparable. Dry rates can run $40 to $60 an hour lower for the same airplane.
You advertise 25 Cessnas and 2 Cirrus. What does the cheapest 172 rent for, and is that wet?Missing from their site
It is the largest fleet in Hawaii by some distance and not one airplane has a published price.
Part 141 training is delivered by Galvin Flight Services. Am I contracting with you or with them, and whose rates apply?
Two businesses in one training relationship changes who owes you what if you stop partway.
What is the flying club, and does joining change the hourly rate?
The site mentions club discounts without saying what the club costs or what it saves.
Do you offer block rates or prepay discounts, and what is the refund policy if I stop partway?
Block discounts are common and rarely published. The refund terms matter more than the discount.
What do you charge for the written test, the checkride, and the examiner's fee?
The DPE fee alone runs $800 to $1,200 in most of the country and is almost never in a quoted hourly rate.
How many trainers and how many full-time instructors do you have right now?
Availability decides your pace, and pace decides your total more than the hourly rate does.

The largest fleet we have found in Hawaii, 25 Cessnas and 2 Cirrus, and the only Part 141 in the state, with no price anywhere on the site. It gets as close as "reasonable rates" and an invitation to ask about flying club discounts. Crawled across 30 pages on August 4, 2026 and confirmed by hand: there is no rate page. Also worth recording because AOPA lists this school with a Rotary Wing rating, which is misleading. The operation is fixed-wing, and dropping it on that field would have lost the state's biggest school.
