    Renting from Richmor means joining as a renter member, which is $25 a month on top of the hourly rate. The hourly rates include fuel and are billed on Hobbs time, and Richmor reserves the right to add a fuel surcharge on 30 days' notice. The instruction figure is what the courses itemise for ground and pre and post flight briefing, and it is also exactly the gap between each airplane's rental rate and its dual rate. The Instrument course flies 14 of its hours in a RedBird simulator, priced below the airplane. Richmor also has bases at Kingston-Ulster and Columbia County airports; these rates come from the operations manual that covers all three.

Instruction is tiered by instructor qualification: $140/hr TCI and $160/hr CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot); this estimate uses the TCI rate. A RealSimGear SR7x simulator is $125/hr and must be booked with a qualified instructor.

Holding the hours model identical across schools means the only thing that changes card to card is the school's actual rates.

So the number is PilotBound's estimate, not the school's quote, and it will differ from a school's own cost figures, which are often based on FAA-minimum hours. The schools do not set or endorse it.
